The Housing Advocacy Director is an essential, exempt, full-time position in the low $40,000.

The Housing Advocacy Director is responsible for the overall operation, services, and safety of Turning Point’s Safe House residential shelter and community housing programs for victims of domestic and intimate partner abuse.

This position leads the Safe House Team through direct supervision of the Safe House, Housing, & Overnight Advocate staff positions. The Housing Advocacy Director manages the legal, regulatory, and contractual compliance of this facility, ensures timely and accurate data gathering and analysis to improve Turning Point’s services, and collaborates with other community agencies to promote the mission of Turning Point. Flexibility in scheduling is required, including availability during evening and weekend hours, as necessary to provide adequate supervision of all staff and meet program needs.

We are looking for a candidate who has a minimum of three years’ relevant work experience which includes casework, counseling, supervision, and/or victim’s services experience. A Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, or a related field is preferred.

The candidate will have a minimum of two years’ supervisory experience with a working knowledge of human resource management principles. Must be adept at client database management. Preferred candidates will be fluent in English and another language. Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
