Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform bookkeeping tasks related to agency financial operations for Safe Berks.
- Provide supervision and oversight to Fiscal Administrator.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, present reports to the Board Finance Committee, and assist Board Treasurer with presentations, as required.
- Prepare annual Safe Berks operating budget in cooperation with CEO and Board Finance committee.
- Prepare budgets for grant applications.
- Report to funding agencies monthly, quarterly, or annually, as required, and maintain related documentation.
- Prepare and gather materials for the annual audits for Safe Berks and distribute audit reports to funding and other agencies.
- Assist independent public accountants with the preparation of Safe Berks annual tax returns.
- Ensure monthly, quarterly, or annual statistics are filed.
- Participate in and lead funding agency monitoring visits.
- Experience with database migration.
- Perform other financial or statistical-related tasks, as required.
Requirements
Educational & Experience Requirements:
Employment Experience (amount and kind)
- 2–4 years of related work experience in finance or business administration
- Experience with database migration
- Knowledge of non-profit accounting preferred
- Advanced skills and experience with Microsoft Excel and intermediate skills with other Microsoft Office products
Education (general level required or specific courses)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

Other Requirements:
- Completion of a background check request; FBI, State Police, and Child Abuse Clearances obtained within required timeframe under Act 153 through agency vendor
- Completion of 66-hour Sexual and Domestic Violence Training provided by agency
- Valid driver’s license and insurance are required to travel to client sites
