Now Hiring Community Engagement Specialist

The Community Engagement Specialist is responsible to support and enhance the capacity of PCADV member programs via the coordination and administration of projects related to supporting survivors obtaining or maintain permanent housing, and systems advocacy throughout housing networks in Pennsylvania. The Community Engagement Specialist will also coordinate statewide efforts to train advocates and other professionals on the complexities of domestic violence as it relates to housing instability and homelessness; to determine the most productive ways to engage landlords, housing authorities and other housing systems to best support survivors’ housing stability; to act as a resource person for public agencies, PCADV subcontractors, and allied professionals. 

Salary Range: $50,000 – $60,000

Essential Functions

Supervisory Responsibilities

Although there are no direct supervisory responsibilities, this position assists the fiscal housing specialist and the housing advocacy specialist in their responsibilities. 

Education and/or Experience 

ive years’ relevant experience and a 4-year degree OR relevant combination of experience and education is required. Prior experience working in a domestic violence program and specific experience with Rapid Rehousing, or other HUD Continuum of Care and/or Emergency Services Grant programs, Public Housing Authorities and Low-Income Tax Credit development strongly preferred.   chelor’s degree with two years recent relevant experience or five years recent relevant experience is required. Prior experience working in a domestic violence program or housing program is strongly preferred.

Must be able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
