Description
This full-time staff person provides executive-level administrative support to the Executive Director. This is a non-exempt position as defined in the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Responsibilities
- Provides general administrative support to the Executive Director:
- Composes letters/correspondence when needed
- Ensures that external communication materials from all staff are accurate and error-free
- Coordinates logistics and meeting scheduling
- Coordinates logistics for the Board of Directors:
- Coordinates meeting scheduling and communications
- Maintains board meeting minutes and other Board records
- Coordinates government grants:
- Researches grant opportunities
- Coordinates proposal submissions, follow up reporting and filing
- Compiles and maintains personnel files
- Provides administrative support for:
- Strategic planning
- Developing new and updating existing policies and procedures
- Social transformation activities
Qualifications
- Required
- BA/BS in communications, business management or related degree (or 10 years’ experience in staff support at the executive level)
- Five years’ experience in staff support at the executive level
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proofreading and editing abilities
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Ability to work independently and under strict deadlines
- Commitment to the program philosophy of the agency
- Experience with general office machines and proficiency the Microsoft Office software
- PA and FBI Criminal Record Checks and Child Abuse History Clearance
- Must be bondable
- Desired
- Working knowledge of delivery of care in a human services agency.
- Knowledge of issues and dynamics of domestic violence, sexual assault, sexual harassment, child sexual abuse and incest.
