Victim Services Incorporated to assume domestic violence services for Cambria and Somerset Counties

June 8, 2021

HARRISBURG, Pa., (June 8, 2021) — Following a request for proposals in April, a review committee at the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence (PCADV) has selected Victim Services Incorporated to assume domestic violence services previously provided by Women’s Help Center.

Victims Services Incorporated, with locations in Johnstown and Somerset, will be funded by PCADV to provide domestic violence services in Cambria and Somerset counties for one year beginning July 1, 2021. PCADV reserves the right to renew or extend the contract based on available funding.

As the sexual assault and violent crimes center serving Cambria and Somerset Counties since 1983, Victim Services Incorporated has decades of experience in providing advocacy, education, and supportive services to victims and survivors in the local community. Victim Services Incorporated is part of significant collaborative efforts in both counties to provide a victim-centered and trauma-informed response to all victims of crime. The additional funding will allow them to reach and serve more survivors in these communities.

Victims and survivors looking for help in Pennsylvania can visit PCADV.org to find their local domestic violence program or call the 24-hour National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-SAFE (7233).
