E-Learning Specialist

The Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence (PCADV) has an opening for the position of E-Learning Specialist. This is a 9-month temporary full time position. The E-Learning Specialist´s role is to assist training specialists with organizing content using Web-based educational models and corresponding software tools. The E-Learning Specialist will also participate in the design, construction, and implementation of courses that support training objectives.

Position requires a Bachelor´s Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Direct, recent experience with e-learning development, curriculum design, training methodologies, and online education. Strong familiarity with recognized e-learning technical standards. In-depth, hands-on knowledge of authoring technologies and multimedia applications, including Adobe Captivate, Flash, and Photoshop. Experience with building and maintaining courseware. Experience with adult learning principles and course design techniques, as well as the ability to identify and fulfill adult student needs. Demonstrated knowledge of the issues and implications of distance learning, along with mitigation strategies for dealing with them.

A willingness and ability to travel locally and statewide; some overnight travel may be required.

Tech-Media Consultant

The National Resource Center on Domestic Violence (NRCDV) seeks an on-site consultant to conduct an assessment of current and potential use of existing and emerging technologies and media products (such as websites, social media tools, webinars, mobile technologies, etc.) to market and create access to the NRCDV´s products, resources, and materials, and to engage a broad range of constituents. The consultant will also prepare an interim report with the results of such assessment, and a final new media strategy report with recommendations regarding how the NRCDV can better communicate with, engage, and inform the online community and the staffing, software, equipment and training needed to do so. In addition the consultant will facilitate training sessions for staff on how to enhance current usage and gain new skills to incorporate existing and emerging technology and other media strategies into our current work. The consultant will assist in the ongoing updating of selected NRCDV websites and the integration of a broader set of new technologies and media products.
