Position Summary

The Executive Director (ED) serves as the chief executive officer, community leader, and relationship fundraiser of Your Safe Haven (YSH) and is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and performance of the organization. YSH seeks an Executive Director who can carry the organization’s mission forward, deepen community trust, and ensure strong, sustainable operations.

The Executive Director is accountable for mission stewardship, program quality, staff leadership, financial and operational oversight, compliance, fundraising, and external relationships. This role blends the core duties of a traditional nonprofit ED with visible, community-facing leadership in the domestic violence, sexual assault, and other victimizations field.

The Executive Director should bring direct professional experience in services for victims of interpersonal violence, ensuring leadership decisions are grounded in survivor-centered, trauma-informed, and legally compliant practice.

The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and leads the organization in partnership with the Board, staff leadership, volunteers, funders, and community partners.

meetings or organizational priorities.
