Domestic Violence Service Center has an immediate opening for a full-time Mental Health Counselor/Advocate (Bilingual). This hands-on position provides direct mental health services for victims of domestic violence with LEP (Limited English Proficiency); counseling and other related services to Emergency Shelter and Bridge Housing clients; and crisis an supportive counseling services to Hotline victims of domestic violence.

Full-time position (35 hours/week). The shift is noon-8:00 pm during the week and 3:00-11:00 pm on weekends. On-call back-up also required.

This position is grant-funded for 2 1/2 years. Position is not guaranteed once funding ends.

Qualifications

Bilingual English/Spanish required and a degree or experience in mental health work/counseling required.
