The Violence Intervention and Prevention Department is seeking a full-time Medical Advocate. The Medical Advocate will provide domestic violence and sexual assault outreach, systems advocacy, and training to hospital and other medical staff/students in Dauphin County. The Medical Advocate will also provide direct, crisis response services to clients as needed.

Applicants must demonstrate the ability to work independently, utilize sound judgment, respond to crisis situations in a professional manner, and balance numerous priorities and tasks at one time. Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Prior experience in public speaking is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field and prior related work experience required. Must have a driver’s license, reliable transportation, proof of insurance, FBI, criminal, and child abuse.
