This position will provide direct service, advocacy, safety planning, emotional support, and information & referral to clients of APH and the 24-hour hotline. This position will also be responsible to oversee the 24-hour, day-to-day operations of the shelter, building and ground maintenance.
Shelter Advocate 2-FT: Bachelor’s degree with major course work in sociology, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social science.
Two (2) years of professional experience in public or private social work, or an equivalent combination of experience and education which includes twelve (12) credits in sociology, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
Two (2) consecutive years of work as a Shelter Advocate 1-PD.
