Help Stop Domestic Violence - Become a PCADV Partner in Action! PCADV has attained remarkable achievements in promoting safety and justice for battered women in Pennsylvania and across the country. For the past 29 years, PCADV has advocated for victims of domestic violence through the development and passage of legislation strengthening legal protections; the promotion of public policies that meet the needs of victims; and the pursuit of additional funding and support for programs to adequately respond to the ever-increasing requests for services and safety. Our statewide coalition of 62 local, community-based domestic violence programs provides life-saving direct services for victims of domestic violence and advocates for social change in order to bring an end to domestic violence. - Make a Donation! Throughout the history of PCADV, we have depended largely on government sources and foundations to financially support projects and initiatives. As we prepare to celebrate our 30th anniversary in 2006, we are embarking on a new and exciting endeavor the establishment of an annual campaign for individuals to show their commitment to ending domestic violence through a financial contribution to PCADV. By making a personal gift of $30 or more to our campaign called PCADV Partners in Action, donors will make a difference in the lives of those affected by domestic violence by supporting PCADVs advocacy, public education, and training activities. To thank our PCADV Partners in Action, PCADV will send our quarterly newsletter, action alerts, invitations to special events, our annual report, and more.
- Speak Out! We need your voice to join ours in responding to legislative and policy actions at the state and federal level. PCADVs Legislative Action Center provides a way for you to send e-mails and faxes to your members in the Pennsylvania General Assembly and Congress on issues relating to domestic violence, including legislative/policy proposals to prohibit insurance discrimination against domestic violence victims, establish a statewide fatality review process, enhance legal protections in custody matters and create new revenue sources for domestic violence services. Sign up at www.pcadv.org to receive periodic legislative updates and action alerts that will allow you to stay informed, speak out, and make a difference.
The enthusiasm of activists and the generosity of donors is essential to the future of our mission to bring awareness, education, protection, and safety into communities, workplaces, and homes in Pennsylvania and across the country.
