The challenges we face to try to eradicate domestic violence are still enormous. Even in 2006, backlash attitudes are resurfacing. I work with amazing women who just want to live in peace. We can never back down until we achieve justice for all – in our homes, in our work places, faith communities, schools and the courts. Judy Copeland, ACSW and Senior Counselor Advocate at the Women´s Resource Center, Inc., has dedicated the past 23 years of her life to ending violence against women. Judy is well- known and respected in the community as a result of her expertise in the fields of domestic and sexual violence. She has provided numerous trainings to members of the judicial system, civic groups, social service agencies, universities and community schools. Judy is a mentor and an invaluable resource to her co-workers. She possesses an untiring spirit and works everyday to empower those who have been victimized by domestic and sexual violence. | A Tribute to 30 Remarkable WomenIn Celebration of 30 Remarkable Years Working to End Domestic Violence, Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence Pays Tribute to 30 Remarkable Women Making Domestic Violence History.
