For 22 years, I had the privilege of working with over 2,000 survivors of domestic violence, our capable ARCC staff and wonderful volunteers, and the great folks at PCADV. We´ve made significant progress in legislation, service provision, education and collaboration. Don´t give up hope for change. Jane Moeller´s arrival in Bra d fo rd County in the early ´70s forever changed the destiny of domestic violence victims. Jane held meetings in her home, wrote grant proposals at her kitchen table and spoke to anyone who would listen. She carried a pager and kept her car equipped with food, toys and diapers as she transported women and children to court, hospitals and safe homes. Her goal of incorporation came in 1979. Jane became the first Legal Advocate and then the Director. Thanks to Jane´s vision, the Abuse and Rape Crisis Center (ARCC) obtained its own building and now provides shelter. Through her tireless dedication towards ending interpersonal violence, this forwardthinking pioneer has inspired others to join and make ARCC a guiding force in the community. | A Tribute to 30 Remarkable WomenIn Celebration of 30 Remarkable Years Working to End Domestic Violence, Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence Pays Tribute to 30 Remarkable Women Making Domestic Violence History.
