PCADV seeks Service Provider for Pike County

The Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence (PCADV) issues a competitive Request For Proposal (RFP) to provide domestic violence services in Pike County, Pennsylvania, from a provider that can offer options for safety through a continuum of intervention and support services for victims of domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. This RFP is for a one year funding period, July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019. View the RFP

Proposals are due to PCADV no later than Friday May 18, 2018.

Carole Alexy worked for more than 40 years as an advocate to end violence against women. Carole began her career in the domestic violence movement in 1976 when she helped to found the Bucks County program, A Woman's Place. She later became president of the PCADV board and joined the staff in 1983. Carole passed away on December 10.

In honor of Carole's amazing work on behalf of victims of domestic violence, the PCADV board has established The Carole Alexy Legacy Fund. Contributions to the Carole Alexy Legacy Fund are dedicated to support the efforts of PCADV to develop and implement policies to improve legal, social and economic aspects of the lives of victims of domestic violence and their families.

After an extensive nationwide search for its new executive director, the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence (PCADV) board of directors announced today that it has named Susan Higginbotham to lead the Coalition. A committed advocate, Higginbotham brings to PCADV more than twenty-five years of experience dedicated to addressing mission-related issues including domestic violence, reproductive and sexual health, HIV/AIDS and LGBTQ health.
